Welcome to studiomichaelmeyers.com. This website gives a digital, small-screen idea of the series of projects I have engaged in since year 2000. The images and words here tell part of the tale and are sometimes even evocative of the experience one may have in situ. The projects are spatial, material, and experiential at heart and that kind of four-dimensional, physical language can only be hinted at through a translating media. That’s good, because for me, an important quality of art is that it is intrinsically a translator. It points toward ideas but leaves the viewer to create and know.

A good number of the projects have been collaborative. Actually, I think I start there--looking for ways to have a creative conversation.

Additionally, my interest in natural structures, the languge of geometry, and the human processes of questioning, understanding, and poetic misinterpretation help guide the work.
